Local San Luis Obispo alternative rock outfit, Krooks, played a live set in the KCPR studio as a farewell to the SLO music scene.
Worked alongside a co-production lead to direct the live session and coordinate talent.

SLO bluegrass duo Two Paper Squares joined KCPR in the studio for an interview and a live performance, which was broadcast on the KCPR airwaves.
Led communication with the artist. Directed the live session – coordinated with stagehands, videographers, and the sound engineer. Interviewed Two Paper Squares live on KCPR 91.3 FM.

Role: Club 91 Director
After the success of the Club 91 x Shabang Battle of the DJs, Club 91 is putting on a world tour throughout various locations in San Luis Obispo. As Club 91 Director, I developed a creative vision for the event graphics and oversaw all venue relations and artist booking.
The tour started at Jan’s Vinyl Bar on April 25th, 2026 with a vinyl set from Club 91 DJ Gustavé.

Role: Club 91 Director
In February 2026, I approached San Luis Obispo music festival, Shabang, about collaborating with Club 91 on a Battle of the DJs where one student DJ would earn a spot at to play the festival. Throughout February and March I planned the event, creating a full event rollout and marketing plan that included Instagram reels, on-campus boothing, & flyer posting. In March we posted an application that received over 13,000 impressions on Instagram. We received 18 submissions that were graded to determine 6 final DJs that would perform at the Battle of the DJs. We posted a final event flyer that received over 23,000 impressions on Instagram.
The 2026 Battle of the DJs SOLD OUT, selling 300 total tickets and generating over $2,000 dollars in revenue for Club 91.

Booked all artists for the gig, including two local student acts, Jack n’ Em and Olivia Nieporte, as well as Los Angeles band Baby Fischgründ.
Oversaw a team of stagehands to set up the stage and worked alongside our audio engineer to mic bands and create the live mix.

Cal Poly University Housing hired KCPR to provide live performances across two days for students moving into the red brick dorms. Artists ranged from DJs to live four-piece bands. Booked five total acts and led a team of 4-5 through stage set up and set changes.

A film by Evan Cork and Kian Schmeer. La Routine follows a character whose strict routine gradually deteriorates over 4 days.
Worked alongside co-director Kian Schmeer to film and edit this 35-minute film project over a 4-month period during my senior year of high school.

Written and Directed by Kian Schmeer. In the midst of a mysterious viral outbreak, an infected couple struggles to survive in the forest.
Acted as a remote script supervisor. Edited script to ensure continuity and properly formatted script in Adobe InDesign.

Gustavé was born and raised in San Luis Obispo and has performed multiple times for Shabang including outside events and at the festival. He is an experienced DJ and producer who has recently picked up vinyl DJing.
